SUBMIT YOUR WORK TO IONTAS MAGAZINE

Submissions for Issue 02: FOLKLORE are OPEN until August 28th. Thank you for your interest in being apart of IONTAS Magazine. It means more than you could ever know.

FOLKLORE is an issue exploring the stories that span across generations. The tales your granny told you by the fire, the superstitions you can’t quite shake and the myths that shape the soil we walk. We want to hear about the folktales, myths and legends that have stood the test of time.

We encourage all creative mediums to submit; the more unconventional, the better. Nothing is off limits here at IONTAS. We only ask that the image provided is high resolution or scanned in to ensure it is suitable for print. We know that creativity comes in many form and we also understand that creatives wear many hats so you are welcome to submit more than once in a different discipline. You can attach up to THREE files, or include three short-form written works in a document. Please include the title, word count and name on the document. For visual work, please title the file with the name of your piece.

Written works are limited to 950 words, and poetry is limited to 40 lines.

Submissions are open internationally, but we are especially keen to hear from Irish voices. All work submitted should be UNPUBLISHED. Social media posting on your own platforms is still accepted.

This is currently an unpaid opportunity as IONTAS Magazine is self-funded, however we hope to change this as soon as possible. It is always free to submit and we continue to support our contributors beyond publication with nominations for awards, exhibitions in Ireland etc.
